Chiropractic follows a natural method of healing, advocating a non-surgical, non-invasive and drug-less treatment of the entire body from the head to the feet. The doctor of chiropractic (DC) focuses on treatments that address the nerves, muscles, ligaments, bones and joints within the musculoskeletal system. A DC receives an additional four years of specialized education in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions after completing a college degree program. The DC is also trained in recognizing and evaluating conditions that are not related to the musculoskeletal system that may need a referral to another physician. There are also specialized certifications programs that allow for specialization in different areas of chiropractic; such as orthopedic, neurology, radiology, rehabilitation, pediatrics and sports

In addition to stress relief and relaxation, a medical massage focuses on a medical need. It is often used to manage pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, relieve nerve compression, increase flexibility or treat other health care concerns. Massage therapy can be a fantastic tool in conjunction with chiropractic care.

Dr. Tyler Best grew up in southern Oregon and moved to Anchorage in 2009 were he attended the University of Anchorage Alaska with a focus on Human Biology and met his beautiful wife, a life long Alaskan. They were married in July of 2012. He then went on to the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, earning his Bachelor degree in Human Biology, his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Masters degree in Exercise and Sports Science early in 2016. Dr. Best and his wife welcomed their first-born son in May of 2015.

During his education in Oregon, he had the opportunity to work with various athletes and sports teams including several local Portland High Schools. Dr. Best has gained a lot of exposure working with athletes, logging in over 250 hours with student and professional athletes on top of his regular studies. He also had the opportunity to work as medical staff for multiple marathons, soccer tournaments and even professional bull riding events. While attending UWS Dr. Best also had the opportunity to assist with a medical mission to the countries of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, providing hygiene supplies and chiropractic services to over 500 underserved men, women, and children in both countries.

Dr. Best has gone on to complete his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certification and is full body certified in Active Release Technique. He is passionate about active lifestyles. In his free time, you can find Dr. Best back country skiing, mountain biking, hiking or rock climbing and teaching his three children how to base jump from their couch. Dr. Best is a member of the Alaska Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Association.

Maribah (pronounced Mer-i-buh) has been a licensed massage therapist in Utah since 2009. She and her family moved to anchorage in 2022 and are loving it! She has been licensed in Alaska since August 2022. Maribah is very enthusiastic about massage therapy. She is excited to work with Dr. Best and his patients. Maribah specializes in deep tissue manual manipulation and injury care. She also has perfected her relaxation and full-body massage techniques. She hopes to help many people find relief from chronic pain and tension.
